I think more attention needs to be given to the long-term effacacy of sequestration. Isn't the idea just pumping CO2 into the ground and hoping it stays there? If the purpose is to prevent the gas from escaping into the air and increasing global warming, then doesn't it have to stay underground forever, no matter what? Compared to the time that nuclar waste decays to harmlessness (10,000 years?, 100,000 years?) forever is a lot longer. And nuclear fuel is a solid ceramic clad in layers of welded metal while sequestered CO2 is a gas pushed down an old well!
