Sci-fi book sale Sunday

in Daily updates, Ottawa

Ottawa geeks take note: this Sunday, there is a science fiction book sale taking place just across from the Plant Recreation Centre (near Somerset and Preston). It runs from 11:00am to 7:00pm and will apparently feature a large number of books, a wide variety of authors, and refreshments.

It’s an omen..

The universe is telling you to join the sci-fi book club. Also, telling you to purchase me a copy of Neuromancer and send it along with some delicious chocolate.

Strangely enough, William Gibson has designed a briefcase.

It is $530, and includes “genuine horse leather.”

The sale ended up being very mediocre, but I will keep an eye out for Gibson novels elsewhere.

Rife with jesters, I heard.

So Gibson designs $530 briefcases.
If we take into account the animal killing “horse hair leather”, the exciting militaristic color names and the fact that the bag itself is designed for carbon emitting travelers……it sounds like we have the makings of a rich, evil, capitalistic, greedy, animal hating ,war mongoring, selfish, ignorant, climate change promoter…..who lives in the fantasy world of science fiction.
I will keep an eye out for his novels as well.

You have a special talent for taking any input and turning it into seething personal animosity, don’t you?

I am beginning to re-evaluate my previous belief that you are not a troll.
