Sci-fi book sale Sunday

Ottawa geeks take note: this Sunday, there is a science fiction book sale taking place just across from the Plant Recreation Centre (near Somerset and Preston). It runs from 11:00am to 7:00pm and will apparently feature a large number of books, a wide variety of authors, and refreshments.

Author: Milan

In the spring of 2005, I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in International Relations and a general focus in the area of environmental politics. In the fall of 2005, I began reading for an M.Phil in IR at Wadham College, Oxford. Outside school, I am very interested in photography, writing, and the outdoors. I am writing this blog to keep in touch with friends and family around the world, provide a more personal view of graduate student life in Oxford, and pass on some lessons I've learned here.

  1. It’s an omen..

The universe is telling you to join the sci-fi book club. Also, telling you to purchase me a copy of Neuromancer and send it along with some delicious chocolate.

  2. The sale ended up being very mediocre, but I will keep an eye out for Gibson novels elsewhere.

  3. So Gibson designs $530 briefcases.
If we take into account the animal killing “horse hair leather”, the exciting militaristic color names and the fact that the bag itself is designed for carbon emitting travelers……it sounds like we have the makings of a rich, evil, capitalistic, greedy, animal hating ,war mongoring, selfish, ignorant, climate change promoter…..who lives in the fantasy world of science fiction.
I will keep an eye out for his novels as well.
