What were you doing in London?
Meeting with a friend, touring the National Gallery, exploring the Camden street markets, and attending a dinner party.
Cool photo. All my night time photos like this come out crap. It’d be nice for photographic newbies such as myself if you posted a one-line explanation of what it took to get a shot to work :)
The Turkey photos are great too. And irritating since I visited most of the same places but my shots are nowhere near as good!

I used my mini tripod for this shot. Otherwise, it would have been a hopeless blur. The shutter speed was 1/2 second.
The same technique was essential for most of the indoor stuff in Turkey. If your shutter speed is not faster than 1/(the focal length of the lens you are using), you will get photos marred by camera shake.
