Housed

This evening, I signed the lease for the flat on Booth Street. The place is nice, I like the landlord, and it is very close to work. There is a huge basement, plants in the front, newly renovated floors and walls, and lots of light. Now, I just need some furniture (bed, dresser, desk, kitchen table, and a chair).

I may move in as early as Friday.

  1. Is Booth St. in the part of town that is attractive to you? It sounds like a really nice place and I hope it will provide a warm and happy home for you for the next year. Would you like any of your art from here? Guy will be in Vancouver in August and could take some things for you to Toronto.

  2. Next: Pictures!

The photos I took are really only worthwhile as an aid to memory. They don’t have artistic merit to justify posting them online.

No, that was the place in the Golden Triangle that went to someone else. The worst thing about this flat is the location – right beside a busy road and in a much less nice, much less interesting part of Ottawa. That said, it seems like a good choice overall.

Not right now, but I will think about whether anything that might be useful could be brought over. Hopefully, the blue suitcase will arrive soon.
