Vermont for Christmas

Between tomorrow and Sunday, I will be visiting with family in Vermont for the holidays. As such, posts may be sporadic or absent.

I hope everyone enjoys whichever holidays they care to celebrate, and that the next year is a pleasant and worthwhile one for everybody.

In the spring of 2005, I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in International Relations and a general focus in the area of environmental politics. In the fall of 2005, I began reading for an M.Phil in IR at Wadham College, Oxford. Outside school, I am very interested in photography, writing, and the outdoors. I am writing this blog to keep in touch with friends and family around the world, provide a more personal view of graduate student life in Oxford, and pass on some lessons I've learned here.

  1. Enjoy your break!

I don’t know how you ordinarily manage two posts per day!

  2. haha.. I like how abusive your highlighted comment is.

I’ll miss reading whilst you are away. Happy travels.

  3. I certainly didn’t mean for it to be abusive! I was trying to be playful.

I am replacing “Go read something else!” with “Please check back then.”

  4. Enjoy the holidays. I look forward to seeing what you come up with after.

  5. Dude – have a good “Vay-Cay”, as I like to call it. Don’t use up too much of your vacation time you’ve banked up though. I will need your strong will and pleasing company at our first ever “Eastern Edition” Cabin Feever.

Also – I have just added a blog & RSS feed to my website. Please subscribe!

  6. Alison,

I didn’t actually use up any official vacation time.

I worked late last week in exchange for taking Wednesday off. Thursday and Friday were statutory holidays, and I will be back at work for Monday.

As far as time off work goes, I should be all set for the cabin adventure.

I will also make sure to check out your new blog.
