I am still waiting to learn whether I got the grade I needed on my Canadian politics re-comp, and therefore whether I will still be in the PhD program next year. All I have been told is that I should be getting the information soon.

The latest word from the Graduate Administrator is that the committee of examiners doesn’t have a grade for my exam yet, and doesn’t know when they will have a grade.
I learned from a fellow student that one of my examiners is presently in Melbourne. Time zones and the difficulty of coordinating conference calls may partly explain the ongoing delay.
