This is a great poem. The section is from part IV, Death by Water, and it speaks of the impossibility of regeneration. Death is final and triumphs over all. How appropriate in reference to our dying environment.
The first part, I think, is essentially a reminder about mortality. The second suggests that there is no god or divine presence to mitigate the reality.
