Just a quick heads up that your dates are wrong. Friday is the 11th, etc.

Hmm. That is copied and pasted from an email she sent me.

As a long-time Radio One listener, I’m pretty sure the Vinyl Cafe comes on at noon on Sundays. Not at 10 am.

Robin, you are right…. The CBC gave me the wrong dates AND times! So weird! Anyways, everything above is correct, minues the Sunday start time (which is actually at noon).

Ahem. “MINUS”

The CBC scheduling people must be partied out from all the galas they’ve been attending…

VC: September 12th, 2009 “Centennial Mug”

Join host Stuart McLean and special musical guest Andrea Simms Karp from the National Capitol region. Stuart talks about why he thinks a crumbling cake in the National Library of Parliament is something to pay attention to. And he tells a story about Dave: Dave finds an old silver mug in a second hand shop and it turns out to the Centennial Mug from his hometown – Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The mug was given to the Centennial Baby…a boy named Johnny Flowers.

Thanks for the mp3 link. I bought her album off of amazon after hearing her on the show. I really like the version of Sleeper on the show.

Milan September 27, 2009 at 2:26 pm

The song that starts around 12:30 is “Sleeper” from her album Sleeper.

The song around 22:30 is called “White Out” and isn’t on an album yet.

The song around 49:00 is “Running Shoes” from Sleeper.
